TOFFEE / STICKY STONE FRUIT / SUBTLE HINTS OF JASMINE TEA & BERGAMOT

  • Country – Ethiopia
  • Origin – Agaro Mill / Yirgacheffe
  • Process – Washed Anaerobic
  • Varietal – Heirloom Varietals
  • Elevation – 1700-2200 masl

This exceptional highland grown crop from Agaro Mill in Yirgacheffe delivers an abundance regional character.

Agaro Milling station is the collective effort of local smallholders where their handpicked cherries undergo a 48 hour anaerobic fermentation before being washed and dried on traditional raised beds. These regional Heirloom varietals are prized for their delicate florals and complexity.

Evolving naturally in the highlands, Ethiopian Heirloom varietals are unique and offer a distinctive, immediately recognisable flavour profile you won’t find anywhere else. Typically farmers in the Yirgacheffe region don’t have access to fertilisers or pesticides so their farming practice is naturally organic and the fermented processing accentuates sweetness and complexity in the cup.

We tase:  Sweet toffee flavours, Almond, hints of Jasmine tea, Bergamot and citrus-like overtones.

Highly recommended for all methods of home brewing and espresso.
